What is this test for?

A fasting blood sample is collected for blood glucose measurement. Adults drink 50 g of lactose in 400 mL of water; children drink lactose at 2 g/kg body weight in 400 mL of water. Blood samples are then collected at 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes for blood glucose measurement. Stability:
