What is this test for?
Note: Unless otherwise instructed by the physician, it is recommended that at least 96 hours pass after stopping iodine therapy. Samples must not be given for this test within 96 hours after administration of contrast media containing gadolinium or iodine.

Preparation
Diet, medications and some dietary supplements may interfere. Vitamin, mineral and similar supplements must be discontinued 48 hours before sample collection.
