What is this test for?
One of the class I histocompatibility antigens encoded by the B locus. It has two subgroups: HLA-B51 and HLA-B52 (split antigens of HLA-B5). Aphthous ulcers, eye involvement, skin findings, and genital sores are among the most prominent findings. HLA-B51 positivity increases the risk of Behçet's disease, whereas HLA-B52 positivity carries no additional risk.
