Preparation

Plasma must be separated in a refrigerated centrifuge shortly after collection. If no refrigerated centrifuge is available, keep the sample in a container of ice water while separating the plasma, and freeze the plasma immediately. The cold chain is critical. Hemolyzed and lipemic samples are not accepted for analysis.
