Preparation
Saliva: Chew a cotton roll gently for 2 minutes. Transfer the saliva-soaked cotton into a tube and centrifuge at 1000 g for 2 minutes. Alternatively, spit into a sterile urine container and centrifuge the collected saliva at 1000 g for 2 minutes. The clear supernatant is used for the cortisol test. At least 1 mL of supernatant must be obtained.
