What is this test for?
Fasting is not required. Use of proton pump inhibitor drugs (Lansor, Losec, Aprazol, Nexium, ...) may affect the Chromogranin A test result. It is recommended that the sample be given after at least 2 weeks without the medication. The patient should be informed about this. Active ingredients in the proton pump inhibitor drug group: Pantoprazole, Lansoprazole, Omeprazole, Dexrabeprazole, Dexlansoprazole, Esomeprazole, Rabeprazole
