What is this test for?
Used to diagnose and assess the severity of metabolic bone diseases such as Paget's disease and osteomalacia, and to monitor the effectiveness of antiresorptive therapies, including treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Sample information

Preparation
Sample must be collected after at least 8 hours of fasting. Separate the serum as soon as possible after collection.

- Run schedule: Friday (Samples received after 13:00 on Friday are held for the next run.)
